Comic to Movie to Game
Elektra was a totally awesome movie. now *that* was a martial arts movie. I loved it because it got inside the head of a woman warrior. When a woman picks up a blade it is b/c she has to. She has gone beyond and over the edge of pain. She is hard but longs to be soft. Circumstances have made her what she is. But she still wishes that she could have a pure enough heart to do healing. The movie is about how a martial artist has to find that balance between bringing death and bringing life. Death dealing taints the soul, but in Elektra’s case she finds that her heart is indeed pure. It reminded me of the drama of the Xena Warrior Princess TV series except on the big screen. I thought that the actress Jennifer Garner looked enough like the comic book character to pull it off. That sai would make a great tattoo. Now i have to see Daredevil too.
Now here is a game for all of us! It is being produced in part by Marvel’s dedicated game production division. It is of course based on the Marvel comic and Jennifer Garner’s, starring role in the movie spin-off of Daredevil. There is all ready a playable flash game online that is hugely popular. The mini-game online gives users an exclusive “sneak peek” at the ELEKTRA characters by introducing their personalities, powers and skills. By assuming a role from the film, players become immersed in ELEKTRA’s story. ELEKTRA Ninja Assassin has become an online destination in its own right. If you didn’t catch the movie yet – you should. The DVD will be out this week. Elektra Flash Game
