French publisher Ubisoft has announced downloadable content for ardent fans of its Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 shooter. The “Fan Pack” DLC is due for release due this month on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.Three new maps will be coming with the DLC, including a return of the fan favourite Calypso Casino as well as two new maps under the cover of darkness, Murdertown and CQB Training.

New ranks above the current Elite level will also be added, while the A.C.E.S. system has been expanded to 100 points for the Marksman, Assault, and CQB categories. A new High Stakes Setting will provide new gameplay options for hardcore players. These higher stakes include game settings of no radar, no grenade indicator, no health regeneration, and no aiming assistance. Basically, you’re on your own.

In addition to these new features, Ubisoft has also done some post-release balancing of the gameplay. Weapons and gadgets have been given a minor makeover, random deathmatch respawns and voice chat options have been opened up for lobby hosts, while dead players will now appear in lobbies next to a skull icon.
