Mac users will get a crack at CoD 4, Spore, Guitar Hero III will be coming for PC and Mac. A new Puzzle Quest has been mentioned for PS3, and Mac. Not too long ago EA and id Software said that they would be offering new Mac support too. Ubisoft plans releases for this fall such as Catz and Dogz as well as CSI: Hard Evidence. In the future its expected that they will include Far Cry 2, HAWX, and Prince of Persia.

“To expand our business position and serve the growing Mac gaming community, additional key titles will follow later this year, including several day-and-date releases this fall,” said Ubisoft spokesperson Jay Cohen.

TransGaming developed a software called “Cider”. It has been described as a translation layer or a “wrapper” technology that supposedly will enable Windows games to run on Intel-based Macs. It has been used to bring games to the Macintosh before such as EVE Online, Madden NFL 08, Need for Speed: Carbon and EA’s Spore Creature Creator to the Mac.
