Chronicles of Mystery Tree of Life is a new puzzle game featuring a female avatar from Polish developers City Interactive. This title is especially ok for teens and has a bit of a mystery twist to it to appeal to the Twilight set. This game is a nice job. The details make it a well done finished product.  It occurs to me I’ve seen several good puzzle point and click adventures from European developers in the last year they seem to have a lock on that. It certainly isn’t a dead genre. I still enjoy games like this because they require so much less effort than a full out RPG. The feel is similar. It makes this suitable for casual gamers across a spectrum of audiences. The crisp graphics and broad color pallate are very up to date and will look great on even a slightly older machine. There are  varied interesting puzzles. They are presented over static environments with a puzzle on top. Those are interspersed with video cutscenes and point and click navagation. You may open drawers find stuff on bookcases and put clues together. The museum like atmosphere keeps you intrigued. There are old coins, bottles, and hidden compartments to delve into. It’s always a good idea to have a task bar and this one functions the way it should. This offering is more than adequate, in the genre and better than most. It will certainly give you several hours of amusing light diversion. I give it 8 curious looking vases out of 10.
